ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Check-in is possible from 5:00 pm and check-out is by 10:00 am at the latest.

Rates

The price includes all utilities (water, electricity and heating). No cleaning fee is charged.

The tourist tax must be paid on site. It is collected by the owner and passed on to the Cotentin Urban Community and the Manche Department.

BOOKING

Payment

The booking becomes effective once we have received a 30% deposit of the total cost of the stay.

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before arrival. If the balance has not been paid by the agreed date, the booking will be considered cancelled by the guest. In this case, the property will be made available for rental again and no refund will be issued.

For stays booked less than 30 days before the arrival date, the full amount of the stay is due at the time of booking.

Security deposit

A €300 security deposit is required when the keys are handed over.

Cancellation

Any cancellation must be notified to the owner by registered letter or by email with confirmation of receipt, addressed to Maison Melchior.

A €50 fee applies to any modification of a booking.

1. Cancellation more than 30 days before arrival: the booking deposit will be refunded in full.
2. Cancellation between 30 and 15 days before arrival: the deposit is non-refundable but may be transferred to another stay.
3. Early departures or no-shows: no refund will be given. The owner may make the property available for a new booking.

We strongly suggest getting travel cancellation insurance to avoid losing money as well as the disappointment of not being able to go on your holiday.

Occupancy

The booking is made for a specific number of guests. The property may not accommodate more people than stated in the booking.

YOUR DEPARTURE

Check-out inspection

At the end of your stay, we will carry out a check-out inspection together.

Security deposit

The security deposit will be returned upon departure, provided that the check-out inspection reveals no damage, loss or insufficient cleaning.

Any loss or damage will be charged at the replacement cost and deducted from the security deposit.

Cleaning

We do not charge a cleaning fee. However, we ask you to leave the cottage in a clean and tidy condition: please put away clean dishes, empty the bins and sweep the floors.

DURING YOUR STAY

Pets

Pets are not permitted in the cottage or anywhere on the property.

Use of the property

Guests and anyone accompanying them during their stay are asked to respect the peaceful nature of the property and to use the premises for their intended purpose.

Guests are also responsible for keeping the shared areas clean and tidy, including the car park, laundry area, garden and bin area.

The property is strictly non-smoking.
