An extraordinary garden near Vauville

Spanning nearly one hectare, our garden stands out with the various landscapes it offers to travelers, and the variety of tropical species that thrive there thanks to the Gulf Stream.

The new hidden gem of the Cotentin

The house is a former farmhouse built in 1732 and operated until 1975 by the Melchior family, after whom this unique property is named. Its typical Cotentin architecture will not leave you indifferent.

Exploring the estate is an adventure in itself: discover the washhouse, the old henhouse and dovecote, the pigsties, the bakery and bread oven, and the old stables…

In 2025, Maison Melchior will offer two cottages for 2 people and two guest rooms.

Cotentin Way of Life

I’m Anne, born in Cherbourg and raised in the Val de Saire, near Barfleur.

I welcome you year-round with Quentin, my husband, and our four children, Jeanne, Octave, Pierre-Louis, and Victor.

Passionate about my region, I’ll share my favorite spots, suggest walking or cycling routes, point out must-see sites, recommend unmissable flea markets, the best restaurants, good places to buy teurgoule, the region’s iconic dessert, or treat yourself to freshly caught lobster.
